Another "non-dual" aspect of this teaching is that "impersonal consciousness of source" is interdependent on the body/mind organism. Without the body/mind organism, there would be no experience. Even with the body/mind organism, there is no consciousness experience in deep sleep

Once upon a time when I was a wee lad of 13. Me mother took me to a small group event in town. It was like a group meditation thing. The topic being accessing the Akashic Records. (edited)

The meditation was nice but I'll skip it because this story is about something else

So after the meditation the facilitator tells me that I have a companion with me. Unseen. And that it was a dragon. I'm thinking wow awesome! I've always loved dragons. He tells me that it's hovering just behind my right shoulder. Then he presents me with a challenge: go home and spend some time with it. Learn it's name and come back to me.

So I do some more meditation. Spend a bit of time with the dragon, was able to visualize it and everything (I've always had a strong imagination.) Then I revisited the Akashic hall of records looking for the name of this dragon of mine, since it wasn't talking to me. Opened a book while holding the question in my mind. The pages were blank but as I held the question in my mind a word started to form on the pages. It looked like it said Rachel.

A dragon named rachel? We've really seen everything

So I go back to this meditation facilitation guy the next week and I tell him hey I think I learned it's name! Upon telling him he asks me how I know, and then tells me that i'm very close, it's actually Roshall.

Anyway, I spend time with this dragon companion for a time. Several months time actually. I'm getting to the point that I can feel it. Feel it's emotions. I'm talking with him and life is good.

Then one day, I can't remember why. But I did something bad and I felt the dragon leave. Felt the presence fly away. I haven't had any contact with whatever it was since.

I'm posting this story here because it has very metaphysical aspects. For one, a guy who was not me could see it and know it's name before I was aware of it's presence. Was this dragon a tulpa? Probably not. But the time I spent with it within my mindspace and the resulting feels that I gained through it. And even the eventual dissolving of it all align with much of the Tulpa related reading I've done recently.

When I was much younger I had this green stegosaurus stuffed animal that was my favorite of all my stuffed animals. I suppose it's possible growing up with that in my life I may have created a mind-friend that resembled this stuffed animal. In fact, one of my earliest remembered dreams is a dream where I was fighting in a war and traveling through dence bamboo forests on a tank and I had a dragon companion in that dream. It was one of those rare dreams where it was the same dream two nights in a row.
